8. Set the signal generator frequency to 1 kHz and set
the R A N G E selector © on your V T - 1 7 1 [""VT-171EJ to
the " 1 V " range.
9. A d j u s t the signal generator output voltage until the
pointer swings to the f u l l scale.
10. Change the signal generator frequency f r o m 1 kHz to
5 0 k H z .
11. A d j u s t T C 1 0 1 until the pointer swings to the f u l l
scale.
12. Repeat Steps 2 through 11.

1. Y o u r V T - 1 7 1 T V T - 1 7 1 E J w i l l w o r k j u s t when the

ments, w a i t around f i v e minutes for w a r m - u p .
2. A v o i d placing your V T - 1 7 1 f V T - 1 7 1 E J where magnetic
field and electric field are too strong.
3. The input cable other than the supplied one should be
low-capacitance shielded cord, or coaxial cable.
4. The continuous m a x i m u m input voltage allowable f o r
your V T - 1 7 1 F V T - 1 7 1 E J is 100V ( D C + A C peak) w i t h
the R A N G E selector a t "~60dB l~-70dBJ " t o
[ " - l O d B J ".
F u l l care should be odserved in measuring
high voltages.
5. Be careful of a line noise and s i m i l a r s m a l l noises a s
your V T - 1 7 1 f V T - 1 7 1 E J is a highly sensitive voltmeter.
6. Do not leave your V T - 1 7 1 T V T - 1 7 1 E J a t any of high
temperature and humidity places for a long period of
time.
7. The O N / O F F s w i t c h of t h i t is designed to act on the
secondary side of the power t r a n s f o r m e r . The p r i m a r y
side of the t r a n s f o r m e r remains energized even if the
O N / O F F s w i t c h is set to O F F . T h e r e f o r e , if the unit
is to be unused f o r a long time, the power cord should
be unplugged
