(9) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6139 (R-OUT) and make adjustments by pushing the cursor keys "<" and ">"
until the amplitude of the image part attains 1.80Vp-p.
(10) Confirm that the amplitude of the image part is maintained at 1.80Vp-p at TP6141 (G-OUT) and TP6140 (B-
OUT).
Advance to the next step (12) when 1.80Vp-p is secured.
Advance to "3-5 Adjustment of sub-contrast" if 1.80Vp-p is not secured.
(11) Push the "MENU" key to obtain the "LEVEL" screen.
(12) Confirm that "LEVEL 1" is assumed. Otherwise, move to the next step.
(13) Set it by pushing the cursor keys " " and "∨."
(14) Withdraw from the setting mode for factory shipment.
3-4 Adjustment of sub-brightness
* This adjustment should be made only if anything is found abnormal in the above step (14) in section 3-
1, step (7) in section 3-2, or step (7) in section 3-3.
(1) Push the "MENU" key in the setting mode for factory shipment, and obtain the "WHITE BALANCE" screen.
(2) Connect an oscilloscope to a test terminal (TP6141: G-OUT or TP6140: B-OUT), where the pedestal level
is not maintained at 600mVDC.
(3) Push the cursor keys " " and "∨" of the remote control for the following:
Select "GB" when adjusting TP6141.
Select "BB" when adjusting TP6140.
(4) Push the cursor keys "<" and ">" and make adjustments until the pedestal level of the waveform appearing
in the oscilloscope attains 600mVDC.
3-5 Adjustment of sub-contrast
* This adjustment should be made only if anything is found abnormal in the above step (17) in section 3-
1, step (10) in section 3-2, or step (10) in section 3-3.
(1) Push the "MENU" key in the setting mode for factory shipment, and obtain the "WHITE BALANCE" screen.
(2) Connect an oscilloscope to a test terminal (TP6141: G-OUT or TP6140: B-OUT), where the image ampli-
tude is not maintained at 1.80Vp-p.
(3) Push the cursor keys " " and "∨" of the remote control for the following:
Select "GD" when adjusting TP6141.
Select "BD" when adjusting TP6140.
(4) Push the cursor keys "<" and ">" and make adjustments until the image part amplitude of the waveform
appearing in the oscilloscope attains 1.80Vp-p.
4. Setting for APL control
4-1 Setting for APL control
(1) Assume the setting mode for factory shipment, using the remote control. Push the "MENU" key to select the
APL setting screen.
(2) Push the cursor keys of the remote control, and confirm the following setting:
APL TIME
PSC UP TIME
PSC UP STEP
PSC DOWN STEP
PSC DOWN STEP
(Common to video, HD/DVD, and PC/RGB)
(3) Withdraw from the setting mode for factory shipment with the remote control.
