BEFORE STARTING ENGINE

1.
Preflight Inspection – COMPLETE
2.
Passenger briefing - COMPLETE
3.
Cabin Doors and Windows – CLOSE and LOCK
4.
Seats, Belts, Shoulder Harnesses – ADJUST and LOCK.
Ensure inertial wheel locking.
5.
Brakes – TEST and SET
6.
Fuel Selector – ON (BOTH if fuel low warning system installed)
7.
Alternate Air Control – NORM
8.
Engine Inlet Anti-Ice-OFF (IN)
9.
Fuel Cutoff Control – CUTOFF (OUT)
10. Propeller Control – IN
11. Power Control – GROUND IDLE
12. All Switches and Circuit Breakers – OFF and SET
13. Avionics Master – OFF
14. Generator Switch – APU (OFF) POSITION
15. APU – IF AVAILABLE
16. Battery Switch – ON
17. Annunciator Panels – Right Panel (AUTO FEATHER, OIL
CHIPS, ALT AIR DOOR OPEN, GB OIL PRESS LOW, FUEL
FILTER, GEN OFF BUS, SPARE and FUEL CONFIG. Center
Panel (OIL PRESS (Engine) L VAC R, VOLTS, L LOW FUEL R
and PITCH TRIM.
18. Fuel Totalizer – CHECK and SET

STARTING ENGINE (With Battery)

1.
Propeller – CLEAR
2.
TOT 150C or Lower
TOT can readily be reduced to 150°C by motoring the
starter.
3.
Start Motor Switch – MOTOR and hold to 12 – 15% N
temperatures listed below.
Starter Duty Cycle is located in Amplified Procedures.
4.
Start Motor Switch – START and HOLD to 58% N
PSI indication.
5.
Fuel Control – RUN (IN) at:

15% ............................................ Above 7 (45)
13% .................................... -18 to +7 (0 to 44)
12% ........................................... Below -18 (0)
