AERIAL This unit is fitted with a built-in ferrite bar ae ial for use with the MW wavebnd. This aerial is directional and it may be necessary to rotate the set slightly for best reception. FM reception is best obtanied by raising the telescopic aeria (1).

EARPHONES It is supplied with a set of stereo earphones which plug into the stereo Earphone Jack Socket (15).. It is only possible to listen in stereo when a stereo broadcast is being transmitted. These broadcast are only transmitted on the FM wave- band.

When using the earphones in FM mode. sound is reproduced in stereo. In order to receive an FM broadcast in stereo. The Stereo/Mono Mode Selector(16) must be switched to STEREO. The FM Stereo Indicator (6) will then glow. lf the stereo indicator flickers and does not stay on, this indicates that the station being received is too weak and good stereo reception is not possible.
