6.7.4 Searching for Detection Information

Set event type and vehicle properties, and then search for vehicle detection information. For details,
see "6.5.4.2 Vehicle Search".

6.8 ANPR

The system detects number plates using video metadata or vehicle recognition, and then compares
the detected number plates with the ones in the database. When the system detects a match, an
alarm is triggered.
Video metadata is only applicable to ANPR for low-speed vehicles at daytime checkpoints. Do not
use video metadata for ANPR at entrances and exits, high-speed checkpoints or night scenes.

6.8.1 Procedure

6.8.2 Setting Vehicle Detection

To use the ANPR function, make sure that the system detects vehicles using video metadata or
vehicle recognition. For details on configuring video metadata, see "6.5 Video Metadata". For details
on configuring vehicle recognition, see "6.7 Vehicle Recognition".

6.8.3 Configuring Vehicle Database

Set vehicle database, and then the Device can compare vehicle plates with information in the
database.

6.8.3.1 Creating Vehicle Database

Create vehicle database, and then classify and manage the database. Database of safe trusted
vehicle list and blocked vehicle list can be created.
Procedure
Step 1 On the LIVE page, click
Database.
Step 2 Click Create Vehicle DB.
Step 3 Set Vehicle DB Name, and select Type of vehicle database.
Step 4 Click Register Vehicle or Save and close. For details, see "6.8.3.2 Registering Vehicle
Information".
