To reset a forgotten password for Dahua Technology XVR Series, follow these methods:
1. If the password reset function is enabled: - Use a mobile phone to scan the QR code on the local or web interface to reset the password.
2. If the password reset function is disabled: - If security questions were configured, answer them to reset the password. - If security questions were not configured, use the reset button on the mainboard to restore the device to factory default (if the model has a reset button).
To enable the password reset function: - Go to Main Menu > Account > Password Reset and enable the function. - Click Apply to save the settings.
If the device does not support a reset button and security questions were not set up, password recovery may not be possible.
