Press MENU several times until the menu
screen disappears.

Press 6 on the remote control to set the
TV to standby mode.
This function is available only when the TV is in
the standby mode.
Notes
• If you press POWER on the TV, the setting of
Wake up function is cleared.
• When the other equipment is connected to the AV
socket on the rear panel, turn off its power.
Otherwise, TV turns on to the programme inputted
from the other equipment at the programmed
time.
• When the child lock is on, the wake up function
does not work.

Adjusting the Picture

You can adjust the settings for brightness, contrast,
colour and sharpness.

To watch a TV programme in
adjusted settings
Press NORMAL until "Favourite" appears.
Note
When the other equipment which has NTSC signal
is connected, you can make lighter colours redder
or greener (TINT).

Using the Teletext

You can receive teletext information by using the
following buttons.

: Switches the teletext mode on or off.
SKIP MOVE DELETE MODE
(Four coloured teletext buttons)
: Select the teletext information.
: Switches the mix mode on or off.
: Increases the character size.
: Switches the reveal mode on or off.
: Switches the hold mode on or off.
: Jumps to the initial page.
: Displays the regular programme and
the teletext information.
: Displays the sub page.
To adjust the volume and
brightness
Press MENU in teletext mode.
once: the volume control menu appears.
twice: the brightness control menu appears.
Press < or > to adjust each of them.

Setting the Child Lock

When the Child lock is on, you cannot turn the
power on with the buttons on the TV.
Press the Red, Green, Yellow and 6 buttons
in sequence within 5 seconds.
The TV is set to the standby mode and the 6
indicator flashes to indicate the child lock is on.
To cancel the Child lock function
Press 6 on the remote control to turn on the TV.
Notes
• Child lock is not cancelled even if the POWER on
the TV is pressed or the mains lead is disconnected.
• When the Child lock is on, the wake up function
does not work.
