Gas Supply Requirements

This stove is prepared to work with a moving LP gas tank or a
fixed LP gas tank.
To use your stove with natural gas you should contact Whirlpool
Service to change the nozzle and make the necessary
adjustments. See the "Service" section in page 31.
NOTE:
The gas type used for this range is LP. If you wish to use Natural gas with this range you will need a conversion kit according to
the following table. This kit can be ordered from the Authorized Whirlpool Solution Center. If you don't follow theses indications your stove
will generate soot and will require cleaning service which is not covered by the warranty of this product.

Connect the Gas Supply Line

A combination of fittings and pipes must be used to connect the stove to the existing gas supply line. Your connection may be different than
the diagram below, according to the supply line type, size and location.

To connect your stove use the material specified on the diagram below.

Once you have connected the stove to the gas supply line, TURN ON the shutoff valve and test all
connections by brushing on an approved noncorrosive leak-detection solution. Bubbles will show a
leak. Correct any leak found.

Check the cooper piping for kinks or other damage so the gas flows freely throw the pipe.
DON'T USE A LIGHTER TO LOOK FOR GAS LEAKS.
DON'T USE PLASTIC HOSES FOR THE CONNECTION TO THE SUPPLY LINE,
EVEN THE FLEXIBLE METAL TUBING, LEAKS MAY OCCUR.
Recommendations
If the installation is not new, clean the pipes to avoid
clogging the burner nozzles.
To facilitate the movement of the appliance, the installer
should make a coil with the flexible copper piping and
install a shutoff valve in the supply line. The valve should
be installed separate from the range and accessible for
whoever is operating the range.
