P1 Manual Upgrade Procedure

Please manually upgrade the firmware if you have trouble upgrading online.

Please note there are two (2) sections of upgrades:

A. System Upgrade

1. Please prepare a USB flash drive (FAT32 format). Download file from

here

and

copy it to the flash drive subdirectory, rename the file: MstarUpgrade.bin

Note: To download the file, select 'DOWNLOAD ANYWAY' when the message box

pops up on the screen.

2. Plug in the USB flash drive to the USB port on the left

Page 2 3. Turn on the projector and the system upgrade will start automatically. 4. (a) Unplug the USB flash drive when seeing the Optoma logo on the screen. (Shown in the image on the left). (b) Then the screen will show text “See more. Hear more.” for around two (2) minutes to complete the upgrade.
