NOTE FOR THIN FACING (TILE, GRANITE, OR OTHER NON-
COMBUSTIBLE UNDER 1")
An arched tiling guide is provided to aid in face installation. It attaches to the
fireplace and is used as a guide for tucking tile (or other non-combustible) under
the face. It also prevents the facing from being installed in a location where it
would be viewed through the face.
NOTE FOR THICK FACING (BRICK, ROCK, ETC.):
This face requires a 1/4" gap above and to the sides of the face for face installation. We
strongly recommend using the 864 Arched Face Template (SKU xxxxxxxx) when installing
thick facing. The template acts as a support for the facing and allows the mason to construct
facing directly up to the template.

Remove the nuts and bushings above and below the firebox. Discard the bushings. Upper Bracket Place the upper and lower brackets in place and secure using the nuts removed earlier. - Page 3 864TRV Arched Face Classic Black 99300497 Artisan 99300498 French Country 99300499 Install the arched tiling guide following the directions below. Loosen the nuts on the upper brackets three turns (both sides). Slide the tiling guide into place. NOTE: the tiling guide has slots that slide between the brackets and the fireplace.
