Typical Transducer installation is shown in
Figure 3.
• Do not operate in closed areas where
reflections could be dangerous
• Ensure mast is sized correctly to
support Transducer weight and wind
loading effects
• Tie down Speaker cable to minimize
wear and damage
• For installations in a harsh environment,
it is recommended that a Transducer
cover be used. Without dampening the
audio output level, the cover will help
extend the life of the Transducer and
minimize maintenance.
Before turning power on, ensure the area is clear around the MA Transducer and
that the MA Transducer is deployed at its designed height. Turn the POWER switch
on and the VOLUME control a quarter turn.
You are now ready to transmit recorded or voice messages. See next section.
Caution - do not point the MA at walls, buildings or other large reflective objects that
are close by. The MA emits high acoustic energy and reflectance can cause personal
!
injury or damage to the equipment.
