  • Page 7 ® HyperSpike Mass Notification MA-1 Set Power Switch to OFF and VOLUME CONTROL to low (knob is turned counter clockwise). Connect the AC power cord, and the Microphone cable and/or the Audio Line input cable to the Electronics Control module. Each cable has a different size canon plug connector and it will only connect to its respective connector on the Electronics Control module.

    ® HyperSpike Mass Notification MA-1 MP3 Player and Microphone Operations 1. When using the MP3 Player or Microphone, ensure that the MA is pointed away from reflective surfaces. 2. The Line input has a 1/8 inch audio plug that is used to connect the MP3 players. 3.

Ensure that Volume Control knob is above minimum. If there is still no output, check all input cables and canon plugs for nicks, cuts, crimps, or tears.

    ® HyperSpike Mass Notification MA-1 Maintenance The MA System is a multi-environment device. As such, the MA System should receive maintenance based on where it is being used. The following preventive maintenance actions are the minimum recommended preventive maintenance actions needed: CAUTION: MAKE SURE POWER IS SECURED BEFORE PERFORMING SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE Always inspect MA system before applying power.

    ® HyperSpike Mass Notification MA-1 Acoustical Properties with Wind Acoustical properties such as distance and direction are affected by wind direction and wind speed. Since the MA acoustic field is radial, any wind effect will diminish the range into the direction of the wind but extend the range of the system in the downwind side creating an asymmetrical coverage field.

    Mass Notification MA-1 Limited Warranty Ultra Electronics – USSI warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser and all subsequent owners, provided a copy of the original dated bill of sale is presented when service is requested under warranty.
