    INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the Zero-X ZXM-AC2 action camera. Please read through the User Manual before attempting to use the ZXM-AC2. FEATURES • 4K Recording @ 30 FPS • 2.0” Screen • Waterproof Case ABOUT THE ZXM-AC2 The Zero-X ZXM-AC2 shoots footage with dynamic realism, where action is effortlessly captured into moments you can keep.

  • Page 8 • Do not use the ZXM-AC2 in water unless it is enclosed in its waterproof case. • Do not use the ZXM-AC2 with the waterproof case in water deeper than 30m. • Always check the waterproof case seal is clean and free of debris before it is used in water.
  • Page 9: Charging The Battery

    • Do not attempt to expose the internal battery cell. • Only use a certified 5V 1A USB charger to charge the ZXM-AC2. Using non certified chargers could potentially damage the ZXM-AC2, or the ZXM-AC2 battery and void the warranty.
  • Page 10: Micro Sd Card Compatibility

    We recommend purchasing a maximum 64GB, Class 10 or higher Micro SD Card from a well known brand. NOTE: The Micro SD Card should easily slide into your ZXM-AC2. Do not force the Micro SD Card into the slot, as it may damage the Unit and the Micro SD Card.

    POWER ON / OFF BUTTON The POWER ON / OFF Button is located on the top left hand corner of the ZXM-AC2. This is used to power the Unit ON / OFF. The POWER ON / OFF Button is also used to change between camera Modes, Settings, and also serves as the back Button when you are in the navigation Settings.

    SHOOT / RECORD BUTTON The SHOOT / RECORD Button is located on right side on top of the ZXM-AC2. This Button is interchangable and is used to both shoot still images and record videos. The SHOOT / RECORD Button is also used to access the Settings menus, select menu items and confirm your selection.

    SETTING THE DATE & TIME To set the correct Date and Time on your ZXM-AC2, follow the below steps once your Unit is powered ON: 1. Press the SHOOT / RECORD Button to end recording (if required). 2. Press the POWER ON / OFF Button four times, this will open up the Settings menu.

    The Auto Power OFF function is designed to help extend the battery life of the ZXM-AC2. It will Auto Power OFF after a selected period of inactivity (1, 3, 5 minutes). The ZXM-AC2 is set to turn off after 1 minute. To adjust these settings, follow the below steps: 1.

    Follow the steps for all Auto Power OFF options. WIFI The ZXM-AC2 comes with inbuilt WiFi, allowing you to access your footage and photos through your smartphone. Your smartphone can also act as a wireless monitor for your action camera.

    6. Open your smartphone’s WiFi Settings and search for the device name that is shown on the ZXM-AC2 screen. Click this name and enter in the password (also on the screen). You can now access the ZXM-AC2 through the App. When WiFi is connected, the LED indicator light at the top of the Unit will slowly and continuously flash red.

    3. Press the POWER ON / OFF Button twice, to open the ZXM-AC2 system Settings menu. 4. Press the DOWN Button 3 times to navigate down the menu to ‘Rotate Image’. You will see this option highlight and a tick inside a box will appear.

    Settings page. 3. Press the POWER ON / OFF Button twice, this will open up the ZXM-AC2 system Settings menu. 4. Press the DOWN Button 7 times to navigate down the menu to ‘Screen Saver’. This option will highlight when selected.

    Follow the steps for all four Screen Saver options. 6.10 LED INDICATOR The ZXM-AC2 has LED Indicator lights that indicate if a function is active. The LED Indicator on the top of the Unit notifies you when WiFi is connected by a constantly flashing red light.

    You have the option of changing the Image Resolution through the ZXM-AC2. You can change between 2, 5, 8, 12 and 16 Megapixels. The higher the number, the higher the resolution and the more detailed your photos will be. The ZXM-AC2 is defaulted to shoot at 16 megapixels.

    You are able to set the Timer Mode (to delay recording) on the ZXM- AC2. You can change between: 3 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds and OFF. The ZXM-AC2 default setting is set to OFF. To change this setting follow the below steps:...
  • Page 22 Settings page. 3. Press the POWER ON / OFF Button once, this will open up the ZXM-AC2 photo Settings menu. 4. Press the DOWN Button once to navigate down to ‘Timer Mode’, you will see this highlighted. Press the SHOOT / RECORD Button to open up this setting.
  • Page 23: Continuous Picture Mode

    Continuous Picture Mode is perfect if you want to take multiple photos but you do not want to keep holding your camera. When activated the ZXM-AC2 will take continuous photos with a set count down between each photo. You can change between: 3 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds and OFF.

    This function will allow you to take multiple photos in a quick succession. You can change between: 3 photos/sec, 5 photos/sec, 20 photos/sec and OFF. The ZXM-AC2 default setting is set to OFF. To use Burst Mode, you will need to open the Settings menu and follow the below steps: 1.

    FPS, 1080P @ 60 FPS, 1080P @ 30 FPS, 720P @ 90 FPS, 720P @ 60 FPS and 720P @ 30 FPS. The ZXM-AC2 default setting resolution is 4K @ 30 Frames Per Second. To change this setting follow the steps below: 1.

    Micro SD card is full. If Loop Recording is set to OFF, the ZXM-AC2 will record continuously for 18 minutes as a single file. The ZXM-AC2 default setting is 5 minutes. To change either the Loop Recording interval or to turn OFF Loop Recording, follow the below steps: 1.

    TIME LAPSE When using the Time Lapse feature, the ZXM-AC2 will take a sequence of photos over a period of time, merging them seamlessly into a sped up video. There are 8 options to choose from: Off, 0.5 secs, 1 second, 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds and 60 seconds.

    Record videos in Slow Motion with the ZXM-AC2. This is a great way to view clear action shots. You can choose to record in: 1080P @ 60 FPS or 720P @ 90 FPS. The ZXM-AC2 default setting is 720P @ 90 FPS. To use the Slow Motion feature, follow the below steps: 1.

    MICROPHONE The ZXM-AC2 has the ability to turn the Microphone ON or OFF when you are recording. The ZXM-AC2 default setting is ON. To change this and use the Microphone while recording, follow the below steps: 1. Press the SHOOT / RECORD Button to end recording if you are in video mode and recording.

    Playback Mode press the POWER ON / OFF Button once. 8.7.2 DELETING FILES IN PLAYBACK MODE To delete any files that have been taken on the ZXM-AC2, press and hold the SHOOT / RECORD Button and then follow these steps.

    3. Press the SHOOT / RECORD Button to confirm. The file will now delete. RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS Selecting this setting will restore the ZXM-AC2 to Factory Default. All setting adjustments you have made to the Unit will be erased. If you need to restore to factory Settings, follow the below steps: 1.

    10.0 FIRMWARE VERSION To check the current Firmware Version of your ZXM-AC2, follow the below steps: 1. Press the SHOOT / RECORD Button to end recording if you are in video mode and recording. 2. Press the POWER ON / OFF Button 4 times, this will open up the Settings menu.

    11.0 INSTALLING AND USING THE ZX-20 APP Please scan the below QR code. Please search the App store or Google Play Store for ‘ZX-20’. NOTE: The ZX-20 App requires iOS 10.0 and above or Android 5.0 to run. When using the App, please note: Android users will be taken to a home screen before entering the shoot screen.
  • Page 34 If your WiFi is turned off on your smartphone, turn it on and refresh the search. To see how to turn on the WiFi for the ZXM-AC2, see page 15. Do not connect your smartphone to any other WiFi networks when you are connecting the ZXM-AC2 to its App.

    12.2 SAVING PHOTOS AND VIDEOS VIA THE APP All Photos and Videos that are taken on the ZXM-AC2 will be automatically saved to the inserted Micro SD. You can also save Photos and Videos wirelessly onto your smartphone through the ZX- 20 App.

    12.4 ADJUSTING SETTINGS VIA THE APP If you prefer to change the Settings of the ZXM-AC2 via the App you can do this through the Settings tab. Follow the below steps: 1. Press the ‘Settings’ icon on the bottom right of the App screen.

    13.0 WARRANTY WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
  • Page 38 WARRANTY AND WARRANTY DISCLAIMER Zero-X has a limited warranty, whereby Zero-X warrants to you and only to you that this Zero-X Action camera will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of your purchase (unless a longer warranty period is required by law).
  • Page 39 Zero-X also assumes no responsibility for and shall not be liable, for any damages caused by viruses that may infect your Zero-X action Camera. In the event of any loss, damage or injury, you will not look to Zero-X to compensate you or anyone else. You release and waive for yourself and your insurer all subrogation and other rights to recover against Zero-X arising as a result of the payment of any claim for loss, damage or injury.
