    INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the ZX-10 action camera. Please read through the User Manual before attempting to use the ZX-10.     • Always check the waterproof case seal is clean and free of debris before use in water. • Do not attempt to open the ZX-10 camera or modify it. If the ZX-10 has been tampered with the warranty will be void. Maintenance and repairs should only be performed by Zero-X customer service representatives.
  • Page 8: Charging The Battery

    • Do not attempt to expose the internal battery cell. • Only use a certified 5V 1A USB charger to charge the ZX-10. Using non- certified chargers could potentially damage the ZX-10, or the ZX-10 battery and void the warranty.
  • Page 9: Micro Sd Card Compatibility

    The LED light on the back of the ZX-10 indicates the status of the unit’s charging cycle. It will stay RED while charging. When the ZX-10 is fully charged the LED light will turn OFF. MICRO SD CARD COMPATIBILITY The ZX-10 requires a Micro SD Card (not included) to save the files it records.
  • Page 10 1. Once the ZX-10 is fully charged insert your Micro SD Card into the correct slot (See 4.0 COMPONENTS on page 6). 2. Press the ON/OFF button on the front of the unit to turn ON the ZX-10. 3. Press and hold the shoot/record button on the top of the unit. This will bring up the navigation menu.

    ZX-10 CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS POWER ON/OFF BUTTON The ON/OFF button is located at the front of the ZX-10 in the top left corner. This is used to power the unit ON/OFF. The ON/OFF button is also used to switch between the camera modes and also serves as the back button, when you are in the navigation settings.

    SETTING THE DATE & TIME To set the correct date and time on your ZX-10, turn the unit on and follow the steps below: 1. Press the shoot/record button to end recording if you are in video mode and recording.

    AUTO POWER OFF The auto power OFF function is designed to help extend the battery life of the ZX-10. It will automatically power OFF after a selected period of inactivity (1, 3, 5 minutes). To choose which option the unit will power off (1, 3 or 5 minutes), follow the steps below: 1.

    Follow the steps for all four auto power off options. SOUND You have the ability to adjust the sound settings in the ZX-10. Sounds will come from the unit with shutter, start up screen, and beep. The ZX-10 default settings for sound are:...

    SCREEN SAVER Record videos and conserve power with the screen saver function, which allows the LCD display to turn OFF while the ZX-10 continues to record. There are four screen saver options to choose from. The ZX-10 default setting is set to OFF. To either activate or change this setting, follow the below steps: 1.

    ZOOMING IN & OUT You are able to zoom in and out of photos and videos by the same controls. The ZX-10 default is set the furtherest distance. ZOOMING IN To zoom in when in photo or video mode, press the down button to incrementally zoom in.

    ZX-10. You can change between 12, 10, 8 and 5 Megapixels. The higher the number, the higher the resolution and the more detailed your photos will be. The ZX-10 is defaulted to shoot at 5 megapixels. To change resolution, follow the below steps: 1.

    6. To exit the navigation menu, press the ON/OFF button. CAPTURE MODE You are able to change the capture mode on the ZX-10. You can change between single, self 2S (2 second timer), self 10S (10 second timer) and burst. The ZX-10 default setting is set to single mode. To change this setting, follow the below steps: 1.

    10 second delay before capturing the image. (These are great for selfies or when you have no one else to take a photo for you). Burst mode takes 3 photos consecutively. Be sure to keep the ZX-10 still when using this mode.

    VIDEO SETTINGS VIDEO MODE When you turn on the ZX-10, it will automatically default to video mode. You can identify this mode through the icon on the top left corner on the screen (there will be a video camera icon in video mode).

    LOCKING FILES IN PLAYBACK MODE To lock any files that have been taken while you are using the ZX-10, press and hold the shoot/record button and then follow the below steps. 1. To lock the file press the down button once. Lock will be highlighted.

    6. To exit the navigation menu, press the ON/OFF button. RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS Selecting this setting will restore the ZX-10 to factory default. Any adjustments to the unit’s settings will now be erased. To restore to factory settings, follow the below steps: 1.

    11.0 WARRANTY WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

In the event of any loss, damage or injury, you will not look to Zero-X to compensate you or anyone else. You release and waive for yourself and your insurer all subrogation and other rights to recover against Zero-X arising as a result of the payment of any claim for loss, damage or injury.
