Insert the battery.
Remove the battery from its packaging and insert
it into the opening at the back of the device,
exposed copper contacts first.
Gently push the battery into place.

Replace the back cover.
Secure the right side of the back cover first by
aligning the tabs on the back cover with the
openings located inside the battery compartment.
4. Slide the keyboard closed, and then press the left
side of the back cover down. You will hear a click
when the back cover is locked in place.
Note:
Your device's battery should have enough charge for
the device to turn on and find a signal, set up your
voicemail, and make a call. You should fully charge
your battery as soon as possible. See "Charging the
Battery" on page 20 for details.
