    IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS This manual contains important instructions. Please read and follow all instructions carefully during installation and operation of the unit. Read this manual thoroughly before attempting to unpack, install, or operate the UPS. Installation • This is permanently connected equipment, and it must be installed by qualified maintenance personnel.
  • Page 5 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Maintenance, Servicing and Faults • Do not remove the enclosure since the UPS operates with hazardous voltages. It is to be serviced only by qualified maintenance personnel. • Caution! Risk of electric shock. Even after the unit is disconnected from the mains power supply (building wiring terminal) components inside the UPS are still connected to the battery which are potentially dangerous.

    UNPACKING Package List The package should contain the following items. Box of Power Module See page 4 for details Box of Battery Module See page 5 Inspect the contents upon receipt. Do not turn on the unit and notify the carrier and the dealer immediately if there is any damage or lacking of some parts.

    HARDWARE INSTALLATION These versatile UPS systems can be mounted in a rackmount or vertical tower orientation. This versatility is especially important to growing organizations with changing needs that value having the option to position a UPS on a floor or in a rackmount system. Please follow the instructions below for the respective mounting methods.
  • Page 10 HARDWARE INSTALLATION Step 2: Rackmount rails Installation (1) The rails adjust to mount in 48-cm (19-inch) panel racks from 46.4 to 73.8cm (18.3 to 29 inches) deep. Select the proper holes in the rack for positioning the UPS in the rack. The rails take up position 1 through position 3.

    HARDWARE INSTALLATION VERTICAL/TOWER INSTALLATION Step 1: Rotate the Multifunction LCD Module ( 1 ) Unscrew the right panel of the UPS. Separate the right panel from the UPS. (2) Unscrew the LCD plate; gently lift the LCD module out. Rotate it to the tower orientation Reinstall it for a tower configuration.
  • Page 12 HARDWARE INSTALLATION Step 2: Attach the base stands (1) Tighten the screws (M4X8L*8pcs) of the base stands (rackmount ears) onto the bottom of Power module and Battery module. (2) Insert dust cover into the rackmount ear screw holes that are not being used.

    OVERVIEW BATTERY MODULE CONNECTION Loosen the screws to remove the Terminal Block Cover on the rear panel of Power module. Connect the Battery Cable to the Power module and check if the polarity is correct. Loosen the screws to remove the Output Connector Cover of Battery module. Connect the Battery Cable to the Battery module.

    ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION POWER WIRES INSTALLATION • The system must be installed and wired only by qualified electricians in accordance with applicable safety regulations. • For safety, please cut off the mains power switch before installation. • When installing the electrical wiring, please note the nominal amperage of your incoming feeder.
  • Page 17 ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION (2) No matter the Power module is connected to the mains power or not, the output of the Power module may be electrically live. The parts inside the unit may still have hazardous voltage after turning off the Power module. To make the Power module without output, turn off the Power module, and cut off the mains power supply, wait the Power module shut down completely, finally remove the battery connection.

    ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION Important notes: If the Power module is used in single mode, the output must be connected to sL and sN. If the Power module is used in parallel mode, the output must be connected to pL and pN. (10) Install an output breaker between the output terminal of Power module and the load.

    Check all the connection and DC voltage of battery pack output are correct. Turn on the input breaker, and the fan begins to rotate. "CyberPower" will be shown on LCD screen first. The default UPS status summary will be shown on LCD screen.

    The UPS is equipped with five-button, dot matrix LCD and four colorized LED to provide the function settings and information display. During powering on, the LCD would display the “CyberPower” for several seconds and then enter to the default page which shows the UPS status summary.

    OPERATION PARALLEL FUNCTION Brief Introduction N represents the minimum UPS number that the total load needs, X represents the redundant UPS number, i.e. the fault UPS number that the system can handle simultaneously. When the X is larger, the reliability of the power system is higher. Up to 4 UPS can be connected in parallel to achieve output power sharing and power redundancy.

Ensure the bypass of the parallel system is normal and the bypass setting is "enable". Press the “ON/OFF” button of one UPS, each UPS would turn off and transfer to the Bypass mode.
