    1.3. DESCRIPTION OF DEVICE OPERATION The Ecoperla Softcab water softener uses an ion exchange resin to remove calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions, which cause water hardness. The device completely removes water hardness, but it is not recommended, among others, for copper installations.

    6. OPERATION 6.1. WATER SOFTENER OPERATION The water softening system requires adding salt tablets to the brine tank. Salt demand depends on total hardness of raw water and average water consumption. The system requires regular, periodic regeneration. This process requires appropriate volume of water for rinsing and brining the medium.
