Multi-Storage Bay
Some PCs have a multi-storage
bay (select models only) on the
top of the PC chassis. You can
A
use it to store ten CDs/DVDs,
to store memory cards, or as a
place for peripherals, such as a
digital camera docking station.
The bay design allows you to
place a device and thread the
USB or FireWire (IEEE 1394)
data cable and the power cord
for the device underneath the
top cover to the connectors at
the back of the PC.
To store CDs, open the top
B
cover (figure A) and gently lift
the two sections to form the
spindle (figure B). You can
store 10 CDs/DVDs.
Your PC may look different
from the one shown here.
Component, connector
location, type, and number
vary by model.
