Step 2: Connect your Optik TV HD PVR Drive
to the Internet Modem
Find the Ethernet cable that was included in your Optik
TV HD PVR Drive kit. Connect one end of the cable to the
yellow LAN port on your Modem. Insert the second end
of the cable to the Network port on your PVR Drive.

Position your Optik TV HD PVR Drive near your Internet Modem. Ideally, place both devices on a
shelf or a table. Ensure that there are at least 2 inches of clearance from all sides of the PVR Drive
and never stack any items on top of the PVR Drive.
Connect the Optik TV HD PVR Drive with the power cable provided. The green light located at
the front of the box will turn on, which indicates that the PVR Drive has started initializing.

Allow 10-15 minutes for the initialization process to complete, before you can start enjoying the
HD PVR Drive and managing recordings on your Optik TV.

Note: Once the PVR Drive starts initializing you can proceed to install your Optik TV
Wireless Digital Box(es) for each of your TV sets. Proceed to the installation instructions
provided in the Optik TV Wireless Digital Box kit.
