  • Page 5 QUICK START Guide Read and understand all safety precautions and warnings first. Make sure the specifications of this device are suitable for the application. Switch power switch to OFF position. Place the unit on a clean, sturdy, level surface at least 12" (30cm) away from the edge of the counter, table, or bench-top and other moving equipment.

    If there is a smooth whirring sound and the platform accelerates with little or no vibration, Digital Orbital Shaker is ready to use. If there are loud or unusual sounds, or excessive vibration, DO NOT OPERATE. Contact Heathrow Scientific LLC Technical Support.
  • Page 8 To Set the Speed Function Rotate the speed control knob clockwise to increase the speed and counterclockwise to decrease speed. The display will indicate the rpm set. Press the speed control knob to start shaking or set timing function (see instructions below). The speed control optical encoder provides instant readout of the actual platform rotation speed.

    Maintenance WARNING! Disconnect plug from electrical outlet before attempting any maintenance. The shaker is normally maintenance-free. Clean unit only when it is not plugged into an electrical outlet. When necessary, the housing, platform, and mat can be wiped using a damp cloth and a mild, non-corrosive detergent.
