The USB-1608GX-2AO has the following external components (see Figure 3):

USB connector
The USB connector provides +5 V power and communication. No external power supply is required.
LEDs
The USB-1608GX-2AO has two LEDs –
The LED turns on when the device is detected and installed on the computer.
 Status
The LED blinks when data is transferred, and is off otherwise.
 Activity
Figure 3 shows the location of each LED.
