Before start-up
17.1
Checks before each start of work
 Check all live cables and wires for damage to the insula-
tion.
 Check all live cables and wires for breaks and kinks in the
strands within the insulation.
 Check all plugs and plug connections for damage.
 Check all switches for damage, e.g. chipped housing parts.
 Check the earth terminal for external damage.
 Whether all accessible insulation is present and undam-
aged.
 Make sure that you do not pull or lay any electrical cables
over sharp edges.
 Your workplace must be freely accessible.
 Make sure that there are no trip hazards.

Cleaning tool

‰ Use the carbon fibre brush supplied to clean welds.
The carbon fibre brush consists of the following compo-
nents:
Single carbon fibres (1)
– at the ends of which the arcs important for cleaning
are generated
Stainless steel brush sleeve (2)
To work, you will also require the following:
Inner part with thread (3)
– Attachment of the brush to the PTFE handle and
power transmission: Handle – carbon fibres
PTFE sleeve (4)
– Wear compensation
– The burn-off of the carbon fibres is balanced by turn-
ing
