This User Manual is NOT a substitution to lessons. Kiteboarding, wind-winging and foiling involve unavoidable risks so it is important that you familiarise yourself with these risks and take appropriate measures to minimise risks as much as possible.

Lines can be very sharp and abrasive. • Choose the appropriate kite or wind-wing for your body size, ability and the conditions. Do not use a kite or wind-wing size that is beyond your control for the given conditions. If conditions change while you are on the water and you can no longer control your equipment, return to shore.

    2. SET UP 2.1. ATTACHING THE LEASH A Wrist Wing Leash is supplied with your North Wing. A Waist Leash is available as an accessory part. Visit northkb.com to find your local retailer. Attach the end of the leash to the leash attachment point on the wing using a loop-to-loop connection.

    2.2. ATTACHING THE ADJUSTABLE HARNESS LINE The Adjustable Harness Line is available as an accessory part from your local retailer. WARNING: Be aware when using any kind of harness, that the hook can cause damage to the wing, foil, board, or EVA deck pad. Installation: Identify the front and rear end of the Adjustable Harness Line.

    Remove the Neoprene Valve Cover. Read and remove the Warning Tag from the valve. Ensure the Inflation Valve is securely fitted into the LE. Unscrew the Outer Inflation Cap by turning it counterclockwise. Attach the Pump hose bayonet directly to the inflation valve using a clockwise rotation. Inflate to the recommended PSI printed on the LE of the wing, next to the inflation valve.

    1x Canopy Material 4.1. TEARS For major tears in the canopy material, we recommend you consult your North Dealer or North Service Centre. For minor tears in the canopy material, you may repair the tear temporarily with a Canopy Repair Patch supplied in the Wing Repair Kit as follows: Clean and dry the wing with fresh water in the area requiring repair.

    The upper line is located between the top of the strut and the canopy, at the LE intersection. Locate the lower line in the pocket. If the line is not visible, take the wing to your North Retailer or North Service Centre.

    4.4. LEADING EDGE (LE) BLADDER REMOVAL Lay your fully deflated, clean dry wing flat on the ground with the strut facing up. Disconnect the HyperFlow hoses from the strut and LE hose fittings. To do this, open the snap clips at each end of the hose and pull the hose off the LE and strut hose fittings (you may need a flat-head screwdriver to pry the snap clips apart).

    4.6. LEADING EDGE (LE) BLADDER REINSTALLATION Completely deflate the bladder. Remove the HyperFlow hoses from the LE hose fittings and remove the inflation valve from the base. Reattach the two pieces of string to each bladder end, then pull the lines to gently re-feed the bladder back inside the LE.

    The upper line is located between the top of the strut and the canopy at the LE intersection. If either line is not visible, take the wing to your North Retailer or North Service Centre. Untie the lower installation line from the loop on the inner pocket seam. Attach a strong piece of string to the line.

    Once located, mark the hole with a permanent marker. Dry the bladder. If there is more than one leak or significant damage to the bladder, we recommend you replace the entire strut bladder. Please contact your North Retailer or North Service Centre for support.

    4.9. STRUT BLADDER REINSTALLATION Lay the wing out flat with strut facing up. Gently re-feed the bladder back inside the trailing edge of the strut. Gently pull the two strings from the installation line pockets at the XLT-Joint to pull the bladder inside the strut body.

    Always use the Pack Up method outlined in section 3. Pack Up to deflate, roll and fold your wing. Do NOT fold the windows. • Store your dry wing in its North Wing Bag. • Regularly inspect your wing canopy, LE and strut for scratches or damage and repair holes or small tears ASAP.
