■ Place the gear attachment on the con-
tainer and rotate clockwise until it clicks
into position.
■ On the base unit:
Move the slider to position x. The
rear aperture is open, the apertures for
inserting the tools are closed.
■ Place the base unit on the gear attach-
ment and press until it audibly clicks into
position.
■ Insert the mains plug.
Important information:
When the rear aperture is open, the appli-
ance can only be operated using instanta-
neous switching. Selector switch 1-5 will not
function. Move the slide for actuating the
lock only in switch position 0/Off.
■ Hold the base unit and universal cutter
firmly. Turn the switch to setting M and
hold.
Tip: The best results will be achieved
by operating the appliance intermittently
(switch on briefly, pause, switch on briefly,
...).
Important: Never lift the universal cutter off
the work surface!
■ After processing set the switch to 0/off.
Wait until the drive comes to a standstill.

After using the appliance

■ Disconnect the mains plug.
■ Hold down both release buttons and
remove the base unit.
■ Turn the gear attachment anticlockwise
and remove.
■ Hold the blade by the plastic handle and
take out.
■ Empty the container.
■ Clean all parts immediately after use.
Cleaning
W Risk of injury
Do not touch the edges of the blade with
bare hands. To clean, only grasp by the
plastic and use a brush.
Warning!
Never immerse the attachment of the
universal cutter in liquids and do not clean
under running water or in the dishwasher.

■ Wipe the attachment with a damp cloth
only.
■ Clean the other accessory parts with a
detergent solution and a soft cloth or
sponge or place them in the dishwasher.
Clean the blades with a brush.
Sample recipe:
Honey cake with apples
Honey-apple mixture:
– 100 g forest honey (5 °C)
– 20 g apple in cubes (1 cm)
■ Add to the universal cutter and mix at
setting M for 3 seconds.
Cake:
– 3 eggs
– 60 g butter
– 100 g plain white flour
– 60 g ground walnuts
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 2 packets vanilla sugar
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1 apple
■ Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
■ Beat the egg whites until stiff.
■ Beat the yolks and sugar, then add
the softened butter and the mixture of
apple and honey.
■ Mix the flour, ground walnuts, cinnamon
and baking powder in a separate bowl.
Add to the moist ingredients and mix
in. Using a spatula carefully mix in the
beaten egg whites.
■ Line a rectangular loaf tin (dimensions
35 cm x 11 cm) with greaseproof paper
and pour in the prepared mixture.
■ Peel the apple and slice. Arrange the
slices on the cake.
■ Preheat the oven to 180 °C and bake
the cake for 30 minutes.
