Connecting the TV

Before connecting cables, be sure to disconnect the AC power cord (mains
lead).
Note on placing the unit
Heat buildup on the unit is due to electric circuit operation even if it is
operated at low volume. Do not place the unit in a confined space, such as a
rack. Do not cover the ventilation holes with newspapers, tablecloths, curtains,
etc. Place the unit at least 10 cm from the surrounding wall and objects.
To watch video
Connect the HDMI cable (not supplied) to the system.
* You can listen to TV sound via the system if you connect the system to the TV's HDMI
IN (ARC) jack. The Audio Return Channel (ARC) function enables the TV to output
sound through the system with an HDMI connection, without performing an audio
connection (connection  below). To set the ARC function on this system, see
[AUDIO RETURN CHANNEL] (page 36). To check the compatibility of your TV's ARC
function, refer to the operating instructions supplied with your TV.
