Connecting the TV

Before connecting cables, be sure to disconnect the AC power cord (mains
lead).

** You can listen to TV sound via the system if you connect the system to the TV's HDMI
IN (ARC) jack. The Audio Return Channel (ARC) function enables the TV to output
sound through the system with an HDMI connection, without performing an audio
connection (connection ) (page 22). To set the Audio Return Channel (ARC)
function on this system, see [AUDIO RETURN CHANNEL] (page 36). To check the
compatibility of your TV's Audio Return Channel (ARC) function, refer to the operating
instructions supplied with your TV.

