5.2
General installation information
Adhere to the following general information for the installation:
n
Only carry out the installation and start-up in accordance with the steps described in these
operating instructions.
n
Ensure that the utilised hose lines meet the requirements for pressure, chemical and mechan-
ical loads.
n
Only operate the diaphragm pump after fastening it properly to a suitable supporting structure.
n
Install the diaphragm pump vertically and with the fluid intake connection pointing down.
n
Vibrations may occur on the diaphragm pump during operation. Ensure sufficient fastening.
n
Make sure that the connected compressed air is oil-free and free of solid matter.
n
Operate the diaphragm pump with processed, dried compressed air (air quality pursuant to
DIN ISO 8573-1: quality class 4).
n
Never point the compressed air at living beings.

Installing the diaphragm pump

1.
Fit the pump directly to the wall or supporting structure with the mount ( Fig. 3/2) and suit-
able fastening screws. In the process, make sure that the material suction connection (
Fig. 3/3) points vertically downwards after installation.
2.
Connect the earthing with the earthing screw ( Fig. 3/1).
