EVERY 50 HOURS

BChecking Engine Start System
The Engine Start System in your machine is designed to
protect you while operating. Check the Engine Start
System periodically. It is recommended to check the
Engine Start System before daily operation.
To avoid serious injury or death:
A Do not allow anyone near the machine while
testing.
A If the machine does not pass one of the
following tests, do not operate the machine.
See your local KUBOTA Dealer.
A Sit on operator's seat for all tests except for
Test1.
A Check the following tests before operating the
machine.
Test 1: Switch for the operator's seat
1. Do not sit on the operator's seat.
2. Depress the brake pedal fully.
3. Shift the PTO lever to the "DISENGAGE" position.
4. Turn the key switch to the "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.
Test 2: Switch for the brake pedal
1. Sit on the operator's seat.
2. Do not depress the brake pedal.
3. Shift the PTO lever to the "DISENGAGE" position.
4. Turn the key switch to the "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.
Test 3: Switch for the PTO lever
1. Sit on the operator's seat.
2. Depress the brake pedal fully.
3. Shift the PTO lever to the "ENGAGE" position.
4. Turn the key switch to the "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.
Test 4: Engine Safety Control
1. Open the hood.
2. Sit on the operator's seat.
3. Depress the brake pedal fully.
4. Turn the key to the "START" position.
5. The engine should not crank.
PERIODIC SERVICE
(1) Brake pedal
(2) PTO lever
(3) Key switch
(4) Throttle lever
