V VENT TERMINAL
Horizontal Vent Terminal Location for Direct Vent
The following information should be used for determining the proper location of the vent terminal for direct vent
water heaters.
A= Clearance above grade, veranda,
B= Clearance to window or door that
C= Clearance to permanently closed
window.
D= Vertical Clearance to ventilated
E= Clearance to unventilated soffit.
F= Clearance to outside corner.
G= Clearance to inside corner.
H = Clearance to each side of center line
I = Clearance to service regulator vent
J = Clearance to nonmechanical air
K = Clearance to mechanical air
L = Clearance above paved sidewalk
M = Clearance under veranda, porch,
