PC Card (PCMCIA) Problems

If the OmniBook doesn't recognize a PC Card
In Windows NT 4.0, you must install Card Executive before you can use PC Cards. To install
Card Executive, click Start, Programs, OmniBook, Phoenix Card Executive, Setup. Then
follow the instructions on the screen.
Remove and reinsert the PC card.
If the card requires an IRQ, check that there is one available. Look in Device Manager,
Properties, Interrupt Request (IRQ).
Check the OmniBook website for information about supported PC Cards.
Try the card in another computer.
Reboot the OmniBook.
You may also want to test the PC card with diagnostics. See
Tools.
If a zoomed video card is not working
Only the lower PC Card slot supports zoomed video.
Windows NT 4.0 does not support zoomed video in either slot.
If an I/O card stops communicating properly
The card may have been reset if the OmniBook suspended or turned off. Exit any
applications, then remove and reinsert the card.
