f Luminous lamp power cannot be reduced automatically in the following cases:
- When the luminous lamp lighting is just completed or the setting of [LAMP POWER] is just completed, etc..
f When [AUTO POWER SAVE] is set to [OFF], settings of [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION], [SIGNAL DETECTION] and [AV MUTE
DETECTION] are unavailable.
f When [LAMP POWER] is set to [ECO], settings of [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION], [SIGNAL DETECTION] and [AV MUTE DETECTION]
are unavailable.
f When objects, etc. are placed on top of the projector, the luminance sensor may be blocked, therefore the brightness cannot be detected
correctly. The projector may not work properly even [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION] is set to [ON].
Setting [POWER MANAGEMENT] in Step 3)
Set the operation as following if there is no signal input.
1)
Press as to select [POWER MANAGEMENT].
2)
Press qw to switch the item.
f The items will switch each time you press the button.
The countdown timer is displayed after 30 seconds without input signal. The luminous lamp turns off and cools
[SHUT DOWN]
down when the time set in [TIMER] has elapsed, then the projector enters into standby status.
[OFF]
Power management function is off.
The countdown timer is displayed after 30 seconds without input signal. The luminous lamp will turn off and enter
[READY]
into standby status after cooling down when the time set in [TIMER] has elapsed. The luminous lamp will be turned
on and enter into projection state if any signal is input or any button is pressed during standby mode.
Setting [TIMER]
You can set the time until the luminous lamp turns off with the power management function from 5 minutes to 120
minutes in increments of 5 minutes.
1)
Press as to select [TIMER].
2)
Press qw to set the timer.
f The time will switch each time you press the button.
Setting [STANDBY MODE] in Step 3)
Set the operation mode during standby.
1)
Press as to select [STANDBY MODE].
2)
Press qw to switch the item.
f The items will switch each time you press the button.

[NORMAL]

Select this item to use the network function or the serial communication function during standby.
Select this item to reduce power consumption during standby, and to operate the projector via the wired LAN or the
[NETWORK]
serial communication function by using the Wake on LAN function.
[ECO]
Select this item to reduce power consumption during standby.
Note
f If [STANDBY MODE] is set to [ECO], you cannot use network functions when the projector is standing by. Also, you cannot use some RS-
232C protocol commands.
f When set to [ECO] or [NETWORK], it may take approx. 10 seconds longer before the projector starts projecting after the power is turned on,
compared with when [NORMAL] is set.
f If [STANDBY MODE] is set to [ECO] or [NETWORK], it takes less power consumption than it is set to [NORMAL].
f If [STANDBY MODE] is set to [NETWORK], then even in the standby status, serial communication becomes available within about 75
seconds after 15 seconds have elapsed upon receipt of the Wake on LAN command. In addition, network control becomes available
within about 60 seconds after 30 seconds have elapsed upon receipt of the Wake on LAN command. When a network control command is
received during the period in which network control is available, network control can be continued within about 60 seconds after receipt of
the last command.
f The setting of [STANDBY MODE] cannot be returned to the factory default even if the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [INITIALIZE ALL] is
executed (x page 81).
