S5 Backspace Character
Designates the ASCII character used for backspaces.
S6 Wait for Blind Dial
Dial tone wait time; if AT command X is set to X2 or X4, the modem ignores this
register and dials as soon as it detects a dial tone.
S7 Wait Time for Carrier
Denotes the wait time, in seconds, for a carrier after dialing or answering. If the modem
does not detect a carrier after a specified wait time, it hangs up.
S8 Pause Time for Comma
Sets the time, in seconds, that the modem must pause when the "," dial modifier is used
in the dial string.
S9 Carrier Detect Validation Time
Sets the time, in tenths of a second, that the carrier must be present before the modem
considers it valid and turns on carrier detect (CD) if applicable.
