(Select Models Only)
The following procedure explains how to change the battery
optimization setting in the Setup utility. The default setting is
Battery Life. This setting minimizes power consumption when
the notebook is running on battery power. The Performance
setting allows the processor to run at a higher speed even when
the notebook is running on battery power.
To view or change the setting:
1. Open the Setup utility by turning on or restarting the
notebook in Windows, and then pressing
<F10> to enter setup" prompt is displayed in the lower-left
corner of the screen.
2. Use the arrow keys to select the Advanced menu.
3. Press
Performance, and then press

4. When a confirmation prompt with your preference is
displayed, press
5. Exit the Setup utility by pressing
instructions on the screen.
Your preferences go into effect when the notebook restarts.
