Other Features and Settings

First ring

This setting determines whether the first ring is heard when a landline call is received. If your
landline has Caller ID service and you do not want your phone system to ring before caller
information is received, select [Off]. Note that you can only remove the first ring if the phone
system rings 2 times or more by default, which depends on your landline phone service.

Tap [Landline] in the home screen or app list.

Tap [Landline settings] ® [Initial settings].
R The handset connects to the base unit.

Recall/flash time

Base unit PIN

The base unit PIN is required to register handsets to the base unit and change certain base unit
settings. The default PIN is "0000". You can change the PIN if desired, however, note that the
base unit will not reveal the PIN to you. If you forget the PIN, contact an authorised service centre.

Tap [Landline settings] ® [Initial settings].
R The handset connects to the base unit.

Tap [Base unit PIN].

Enter the current base unit PIN (4 digits) and then tap [Continue].

Enter the desired base unit PIN (4 digits) and then tap [OK] ® [OK].

Tone/pulse setting

This setting must be set to match the dialling mode of your landline phone service, otherwise you
will not be able to make landline calls. (The default setting is [Tone].)
