a. Insert the new ThinkStation LED into the plastic holder until it snaps into position.

b. Connect the ThinkStation LED cable to the ThinkStation LED connector on the system board. See
"Parts on the system board" on page 38.

Front audio and USB assembly and card reader

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To remove or install the front audio and USB assembly and card reader, do the following:
1. Prepare your computer. See "Preparing your computer" on page 96.
2. Remove the power button. See "Power button" on page 145.
3. Locate the front audio and USB assembly and card reader. See "FRUs and CRUs" on page 35.
4. To remove the front audio and USB assembly and card reader, do the following:
a. Note the cable routing and connection. Then, disconnect the card reader cable from the front USB
2.0 connector on the system board. See "Parts on the system board" on page 38.
b. Release the cables from the cable clip at the rear of the front audio and USB assembly.
