By following the steps outlined in this manual your detector will provide years of reliable service. Operating Instructions Getting Started Remove the protective cap to expose the electrodes. The meter automatically switches ON when the cap is removed. Secure the cap on the bottom side of the meter. Press the measuring electrodes as far as possible into the material. Read the measurement values on the display. -
Page 6: Built-In Battery Check
During the verification process, the meter should measure as follows: Wood: 27% ±2% Building Materials: 1.25% ±0.1% If during the verification process the meter does not read within these parameters, your instrument should be sent in for servicing. Built-in Battery Check Make contact with test pins 3 and 4 (as shown below) which are located on the top of the protective cap. -

Auto Power OFF In order to conserve battery life, the meter will automatically turn off after approximately 15 minutes. To turn the meter back on press and release the yellow cutoff switch located between the electrodes. Always secure the protective cap when the instrument is not in use.
