Timer Recording

Setting a Timer Recording
Follow these steps to program a timer
recording. Before you begin, make sure
the Date and Time are set correctly (see
page 23), and that your disc or tape has
enough available space to record the
desired program.

Insert a recordable disc or VHS tape.

Press TIMER to display the Timer
Record menu:

Press  to select one of the 5 timer
events.

Move to the Disc/Tape icon and press
ENTER to choose between DVD and
VHS recording.

Select "Mode" and press ENTER.Then
press  and ENTER to select:
Once - For a one-time recording.
Weekly - For a weekly recording.
Daily - For a daily recording.

Select "Date" and press ENTER. Then
press   and ENTER to set the
date of the recording.

Select "Start" and press ENTER. Then
press   and ENTER to set the
recording start time.
• Select "End" and repeat this step to
set the recording end time.

Select "Source" and press ENTER.Then
press  and ENTER to select the

Select "Quality" and press ENTER.
Then press  and ENTER to select
the desired record quality.

OK - The event is programmed and
ready to record.
Trash - There is a problem with the
event settings. Change the settings
until the Status is "OK" .
Done - The event recorded success-
fully.
Fail - The event failed to record. Move
the cursor to the Status column to
view the cause of the error ("No Disc,"
"Media Defect,""Disc Full," etc. ).

Press TIMER to exit the Timer Record
menu.

Press POWER to turn off the DVD
Recorder+VCR.
• The DVD Recorder+VCR must be
turned off to activate the Timer
Recording.
• The TIMER indicator on the front
panel display will light.
• To delete a timer recording, move to
the trash icon and press ENTER.
