Chisels and Chisel Holder

WARNING: Burn Hazard. ALWAYS wear gloves
when changing chisels. Accessible metal parts on
the tool and chisels may get extremely hot during
operation. Small bits of broken material may damage
bare hands.

WARNING: Do not attempt to tighten or loosen drill
chisels (or any other accessory) by gripping the front
part of the chuck and turning the tool on. Damage to
the chuck and personal injury may occur.
The demolition hammer can be fitted with various
chisels depending on the desired application. Use sharp
chisels only.
Inserting and Removing SDS MAX
Chisels (Fig. C)
nOTE: Accessories and attachments used must be
lubricated around the SDS MAX fitment before installation.
1. Insert chisel in the tool holder/sleeve 4 and apply
downward pressure while rotating to secure the chisel
into place. The chisel shank must be clean.
2. Ensure the chisel is properly engaged.
nOTE: The chisel needs to move several centimeters
in and out of the tool holder/sleeve  
properly engaged.

3. To remove the chisel pull back the tool holder/sleeve
and pull the chisel out.

Indexing the Chisel Position (Fig. D)
The chisel can be indexed and locked into 12
different positions.
1. Insert the chisel as described above.
2. Rotate the chisel position index collar
of the arrow until the chisel is in the desired position.
nOTE: After finding the desired position, slightly
maneuver the chisel back and forth to ensure the chisel is
properly engaged.

OPERATION

removing/installing attachments or accessories.
An accidental start‑up can cause injury.

and applicable regulations.

WARNING: Be aware of the location of pipework
and wiring.

WARNING: Apply a pressure of approx. 44–66 lbs.
(20–30 kg.) to the tool. Excessive force does not speed
up chiselling but decreases tool performance and may
shorten tool life.
