batteries. Correct disposal helps
prevent negative consequences
for the environment and human
health.
Removing the rechargeable
battery
Only remove the rechargeable
battery when you discard the
product. Before you remove the
battery, make sure that the
product is disconnected from
the wall socket and that the
battery is completely empty.
Take any necessary safety
precautions when you handle
tools to open the product and
when you dispose of the
rechargeable battery.

Switch on the appliance and let
it operate until it switches off
because the rechargeable
battery is empty.
2 Separate the bottom cap from
the handle with a small flathead
screwdriver (Fig. 16) and undo
the screw (Fig. 17).
3 Insert a small flathead
screwdriver between the top
part and the handle and pry
loose the top part of the
appliance (Fig. 18). Carefully pull
the top part with the battery
holder out of the housing (Fig.
19).
4 Cut the wires (Fig. 20) and undo
the screw of the printed circuit
board (Fig. 21).
5 Remove the rechargeable
battery from the battery holder
(Fig. 22).
Warning: Do not attempt to
replace the rechargeable
battery.
Warning: Do not reconnect the
appliance to the mains after you
have removed the rechargeable
battery.

Solution
Make sure that
the appliance is
disconnected
from the wall
socket when
you use it.
Charge the
appliance
according to the
instructions in
this user
manual. Check if
there is a power
failure and if the
wall socket is
live. Make sure
that you have
pressed the
on/off button
properly. When
connected to
the wall socket,
check if the
charging light
on the supply
unit lights up to
make sure the
appliance is
charging. If it
does not light
up or if the
appliance still
does not work,
take it to your
Philips dealer or
an authorized
Philips service
center.
