Cabling a DM3000x or DM5000x series
with NO external storage
Storage cables
Connect the SAS ports of both controllers:
• Controller 1 0a to Controller 2 0b
• Controller 1 0b to Controller 2 0a
STOP HERE.

WITH external storage (DM120S or DM240S)
Storage cables
Connect the shelf-to-shelf ports

2 Connect each node to IOM A in the stack
Connect each node to IOM B in the stack

If you have NO external storage, skip to stage 4, complete system setup and configuration.

Orient the cable connector
pull-tab in the correct direction,
then gently push the connector
into place until it clicks.
Note: To unplug a cable, gently pull
the tab to release the locking
mechanism.
