6. Adjustment of the pressure of the work clamp unit

The pressure of the work clamp unit should be minimized as
long as the material does not warp during sewing. Loosen
adjusting screw ❶ and turn adjusting screw ❷ to obtain the
aforementioned pressure.
1) Loosen screw ❶ to adjust so that a clearance of 2.5 mm
or more is provided between the wiper and the needle.
2) Loosen screw ❷ to adjust so that a distance of 15 to 17
mm is provided between the end face of the wiper and
the center of the needle. After the adjustment, securely
tighten the screw.
(Caution)
The position of the needle is when the sewing
machine has stopped after the sewing finished.
Wiper spring ❶ retains the needle thread after thread trimming
in between wiper ❷ and the wiper spring. Correct properly
the tension of wiper spring ❶ so that the tension at that time
becomes 0.2 to 0.3N (a little higher tension than that of the
bobbin thread coming out of the bobbin case).
(Caution)
If the retaining of the needle thread is excessive,
the thread may protrude from the upper side of the
button.
