PCs on your local LAN may also require configuration. For details, see Chapter 4 - PC Configuration. Other configuration may also be required, depending on which features and functions of the TVP-224HR you wish to use. Use the table below to locate detailed instructions for the required functions. To Do this: Configure PCs on your LAN.
IP Address during configuration. Using your Web Browser To establish a connection from your PC to the TVP-224HR: 1. After installing the TVP-224HR in your LAN, start your PC. If your PC is already running, restart it. 2. Start your WEB browser.

You can only use one (1) DHCP Server per LAN segment. If you wish to use another DHCP Server, rather than the TVP-224HR 's, the following procedure is required. 1. Disable the DHCP Server feature in the TVP-224HR. Disable the DHCP by entering “0” in the number of clients field.
224HR. The first step is to check the PC's TCP/IP settings. The TVP-224HR uses the TCP/IP network protocol for all functions, so it is essential that the TCP/IP protocol be installed and configured on each PC. TCP/IP Settings - Overview If using the default TVP-224HR settings, and the default Windows TCP/IP settings, no changes need to be made.
Using DHCP To use DHCP, select the radio button Obtain an IP Address automatically. This is the default Windows setting. Using this is recommended. By default, the TVP-224HR will act as a DHCP Server. Restart your PC to ensure it obtains an IP Address from the TVP-224HR.

Gateways. The ATPM collects telephone number dialed by users, decides whether the dial string is part of the dial plan and, if it is, maps it to a remote TVP-224HR / TVP-224HR. When the call is set up to the destination, a sub-string of the original dial string will be sent along to the remote VoIP Gateway.
In effect, the Hunt Group will just have this one member. Dial Plan The dial plan is a database inside the TVP-224HR that allows the ATPM to map telephone numbers dialed to IP addresses of remote VoIP Gateways. The dial plan consists of three tables;...
Dest ID DTMF Relay Voice from PSTN is compressed by the TVP-224HR before it is sent across the IP network and then decompressed by the destination VoIP gateway. The voice codecs supported by the TVP-224HR are designed for ideally compressing and decompressing human voice.
