7. Pivot the card latch to the closed position to secure the PCI/PCI-Express card.

8. Reinstall the screw to secure the PCI Express card latch in place.

Replacing the Wi-Fi card
Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To replace the Wi-Fi card, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 90.
3. Locate the Wi-Fi card. See "Computer components" on page 31.
4. If your computer comes with a Wi-Fi card that supports the Bluetooth function, disconnect the Bluetooth
cable from the Wi-Fi card adapter.
Note: The Bluetooth cable connects the Bluetooth connector on the Wi-Fi card adapter to the system
board.
5. At the rear of the computer, remove the screw that secures the card latch.
6. Grasp the Wi-Fi card adapter that is currently installed and gently pull it out of the slot.
