Wear of Brake Pad
Most brake pads for rim brakes come with
grooves or notches.
If these grooves are worn and can no longer
be seen, this is normally a sign that the brake
pad is worn.

If required, you can readjust the rebound force via the spring adjustment screw so that both
brake arms move symmetrically. Once you have done this, check that the brake is working
properly (see "Readjusting the brake").
