Frying
Hot steam escapes from the filter in the lid during frying.

Take the entire cord from the cord storage compartment and put the plug in the wall
socket (Fig. 6).

Press the on/off switch to switch on the fryer.
The power-on light in the on/off switch and the temperature light go on.

Set the temperature control to the required temperature. (Fig. 7)
For the required temperature, see the package of the food to be fried or the food table at the end
of this booklet.
Note: You can leave the basket in the fryer while the fryer heats up.

Wait until the temperature light goes out (this takes 10 to 15 minutes).

Lift the handle to raise the basket to its highest position (Fig. 8).

Press the release button to open the lid. The lid opens automatically (Fig. 2).

Remove the basket from the fryer and put the food to be fried in the basket.
Remove all excess ice from frozen ingredients before you fry them.
Do not fry very large quantities at one time. Consult the food table at the end of this booklet
(the recommended quantity is indicated by -).

Carefully put the basket in the fryer. Do not yet lower it into the oil or fat (Fig. 9).

Close the lid.
10 Press the release button on the handle of the basket (1) and carefully fold the handle against
the fryer (2) (Fig. 10).
The basket is lowered to its lowest position.

During frying, the temperature light comes on and goes out from time to time. This indicates that
the heating element is switched on and off to maintain the correct temperature.

Lift the handle to raise the basket to its highest position, i.e. the draining position (Fig. 8).

Press the release button to open the lid. (Fig. 2)
Beware of hot steam and possible spattering of the oil.

Carefully remove the basket from the fryer.
To remove excess oil or fat, shake the basket over the fryer. Put the fried food in a bowl or colander
lined with grease-absorbing paper, e.g. kitchen paper.

Press the on/off switch to switch off the fryer
The power-on light in the on/off switch goes out.

Put the basket in the fryer.

Close the lid.

Unplug the appliance after use.
