Push down the toasting lever to switch on the appliance. (Fig. 6)
The toasting lever only stays down if the appliance is connected to the mains.
The metal parts of the toaster become hot during toasting. Do not touch them.
The stop button lights up.

The display shows the toasting time and starts to count down. The last minute is displayed in
,
seconds (Fig. 7).
Note: You can stop the toasting process and pop up the bread at any time by pressing the STOP button
on top of the toaster (Fig. 8).

If required, you can adjust the browning setting during toasting (Fig. 9)
During toasting, you can press the + button to get darker toast or the - button to get lighter toast.
The toasting time and browning setting are adjusted on the display.

Note: When you select a lower setting for lighter toast, the toast may pop up immediately because the
desired browning level has already been reached.

When the toast is ready, you hear a beep, the display flashes a few times and the bread pops
up.

Remove the toasted bread. To remove smaller items, move the toasting lever upwards a little
further (Fig. 10).
Note: If bread gets stuck inside the toaster, remove the plug from the wall socket, let the appliance cool
down completely and carefully remove the bread from the toaster. Do not use a knife or another sharp
metal tool to do this and do not touch the metal internal parts of the toaster.

To select the defrosting mode 8, press the mode button. (Fig. 11)
Depending on the previously selected mode, you have to press the mode button once or several
times.

Select the desired browning setting and push down the toasting lever to switch on the
appliance (see section 'Toasting bread').

To select the reheating mode , press the mode button. (Fig. 12)
Depending on the previously selected mode, you have to press the mode button once or several
times.

Push down the toasting lever to switch on the appliance.
Note: You cannot adjust the browning setting. This mode operates at a fixed setting for an optimal result.
toasting one side only
Ideal for toasting bagels and baguettes.

Half the bagel or baguette lengthwise and shorten the baguette to a length of max. 13cm.

Put the bread in the toaster with the side to be toasted facing the front of the
toaster. (Fig. 13)

To select the one-sided toasting mode 9, press the mode button. (Fig. 14)
Depending on the previously selected mode, you have to press the mode button once or several
times.

Select the desired browning setting and push down the toasting lever to switch on the
appliance (see section 'Toasting bread').
