You can change the subtitle language or hide the subtitle during playback.
Setting the unit to the power stand-by mode or replacing the discs displays the lan-
guage of the initial setting.
To always display a chosen language, set it on the initial setting screen (page 19).

„ To change the subtitle language

Whilst a disc is playing, press the SUBTITLE
button.

Within 10 seconds, press the SUBTITLE
ton repeatedly to select the desired subtitle lan-
guage.
You can perform the same operation by pressing the

z Some DVDs prohibit changing the subtitle language.
z If no subtitles are recorded on the disc, "XX" is displayed.
z It may take a little time to switch the subtitle language to the selected one.
