    If the function or connection fails, do not use the closed (clockwise). apparatus. The apparatus must be checked and cor- rected for proper operation by an MSA trained or cer- tified repairperson before using. Failure to follow this precaution may result in serious personal injury or death.
  • Page 3 LEAK TESTING EMERGENCY-ESCAPE CYLINDER FIRST-STAGE EMERGENCY-ESCAPE CYLINDER VALVE REGULATOR Note: Return the regulator to an MSA CARE Repair Center where indicated for Disassembly and Repair. Close the emergency-escape cylinder valve. Be sure nothing blocks the mask-mounted regulator outlet. 1. Open the cylinder valve fully.
