Briefly press the PTY key; the "BEEP ON" indication will flash.
Press or ; the indication displayed switches over to
"BEEP OFF".

Briefly press the PTY key; the "BEEP OFF" indication will stop
flashing.
Once having reached this point we can select and set any other
function by repeating points 2 to 5, or:
