9. Maintenance

Replacing the sanding plate (fig. 8.1, 8.2)
• Remove the sanding paper (9).
• Insert the Allen key (15) into the hexagonal hole in
the centre of the sanding plate (8) and turn it clock-
wise to remove the damaged sanding plate (8).
• Insert the new sanding plate (8) and tighten it again.
Replacing the carbon brushes
The carbon brushes are wear parts that wear out
during use. The carbon brushes should therefore
be checked regularly. To prevent damage to the cir-
cuit, the two carbon brushes must be replaced at the
same time.
ATTENTION!
The carbon brushes may only be replaced by au-
thorised service personnel. The device must only be
used with both brushes.
Cleaning
Clean the device after each grinding process
• Regularly cleaning the device can extend its ser-
vice life and reduce the amount of repair work re-
quired.
• We recommend cleaning the connection pieces
and components of the electrical motor without wa-
ter.
• The parts should be cleaned immediately after use.
• Clean the parts with a hairbrush and a dry cloth.
Service
Only have your electrical device cleaned by qualified
specialised personnel and only use spare parts with
identical designs. This ensures the technical safety
during use.

lowing parts are subject to natural or usage-related
wear, or that the following parts are required as con-
sumables.

10. Storage and transport

1. When not in use store the power tool in a dry, well
ventilated location out of the reach of children, e.
g. on top of a high cupboard or in a locked place.
2. If possible, keep power tool, operating manual
and tool attachments, if any, together in the origi-
nal packaging. In this way you will have all infor-
mation and parts readily to hand.
3. Always hold the power tool at its gripping sur-
faces.
4. To avoid transport damages, pack the power tool
or use the original packaging.
5. Protect the power tool against vibrations and
shocks, in particular during vehicular transport.

11. Disposal and recycling

The device is supplied in packaging to avoid
transport damages. This packaging is raw
material and can thus be used again or can
be reintegrated into the raw material cycle.
The device and its accessories are made of
different materials, such as metals and plastics. Take
defective components to special waste disposal sites.
Check with your specialist dealer or municipal admin-
istration!
Do not throw old equipment away with household
waste!
This symbol indicates that this product must
not be disposed of in household waste as per
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment di-
rective (2012/19/EU) and national laws. This
product must be handed over at the intended collec-
tion point. This can be done, for example, by returning
it when purchasing a similar product or delivering it to
an authorised collection point for the recycling of old
electrical and electronic devices. Improper handling
of old devices can have negative effects on the envi-
ronment and on human health due to potential haz-
ardous materials which are often contained in old
electrical and electronic devices. By disposing of this
product properly, you are also contributing to the ef-
fective use of natural resources. Information about
collection points for old devices can be found at your
municipal authority, the local disposal provider, an
authorised location for the disposal of old electrical
and electronic devices or your waste collection ser-
vice.
